    Comprehensive Evaluation of Plant Polyphenols Development Projects Based on FANP-SVM

    Objective To establish a comprehensive evaluation model to assess plant polyphenols development projects objectively. Methods FANP model, together with pattern recognition technology was used to weight the 21 indexes of 20 plant polyphenols extract projects from 8 companies respectively. Then, a numerical model with the support vector machine (SVM) was built to evaluate all the indexes and profitability of the projects. Results and Conclusion The results show that the correction rate, the recognition rate and the rejection rate of the SVM model for plant polyphenol extraction projects are 98.2%, 97.1%, and 95.5%, respectively. Therefore, this model can be used to predict the profitability of a project, to provide reliable method for decision making, which makes the decision making process digitized and scientific.

    Objective To lay a foundation for extensive application of multiple attribute decision making (MADM) in the field of health technol ogy assessment. Methods Summarization and induction methods were used. Results and Conclusion The theory and characteristics of MADM were studied. Traditional MADM methods combined with other theories will develop into new MADM theory. And the new MAMD theory will broaden its application in many fields, including health technology assessment.

    Countermeasures of Consistency Evaluation Policy for Generic Enterprises in China

    Objective To put forward some countermeasures for generic enterprises under the background of consistency evaluation policy. Methods Some measures for generic enterprises were raised on the basis of the current status analysis of generic drugs in China, together with the influence of the consistency evaluation policy on the generic drugs marketing. Results and Conclusion Generic enterprises should make the selections of generics properly and conduct R&D effectively, making full use of the supporting policies from relevant authorities to achieve the goal of consistency evaluation. Pharmaceutical enterprises in China should promote their core competitiveness, maintain full vitality in the increasingly fierce competition.

    Introduction of Drug Re-evaluation in Foreign Countries and Its Enlightenment to China

    Objective To provide reference for relevant authorities in China to improve generic drug evaluation by comparing the background and methods of drug re-evaluation in foreign countries. Methods Comparative analysis method was used. Results and Conclusion Reasonable evaluation methods based on the experiences from foreign drug re-evaluation are put forward. It is suggested that the reference catalogue of pharmaceutical preparations and procurement platform should be established. Meanwhile the application process regulations and other measures should be perfected to better the consistency evaluation of generic drugs in China.

    Analysis of 13,472 Cases of Adverse Drug Reaction/Event of Ceftriaxone Sodium for Injection

    Objective To make a descriptive analysis of the adverse drug reaction reports of ceftriaxone sodium for injection collected from a provincial spontaneous reporting system (SRS) and to find out its potential risks in clinical use. Methods Retrospective and descriptive methods were used to analyze 13,472 cases of adverse drug reaction/event (ADR/ADE) of ceftriaxone sodium for injection collected from January 1, 2004 to December 31, 2013. Results and Conclusion The clinical use of ceftriaxone sodium for injection shows the risks, including off-label use, overdose, and incompatibility. Therefore, supervision of clinical use of ceftriaxone sodium for injection should be strengthened so as to reduce the incidence of clinical ADR/ADE.

    On Predicting the Price of Chinese Herbal Medicines Based on the Combination Model of ARIMA and GM (1, 1): A Case Study of Panax Notoginseng

    Objective To predict the price of Chinese herbal medicines and to provide references for the government policy making and enterprises operation based on a case study. Methods ARIMA model and GM (1, 1) model were used respectively to predict the price of Panax Notoginseng, then variance reciprocal method was used to test the results of the combined prediction. Results and Conclusion GM (1, 1) model is better than ARIMA model to predict the price, but the combination model is the best. Combination forecasting model is more accurate to predict the price of Chinese herbal medicines.
